Kim Delaney is an American actress who is best known as the character the role of Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she won an Emmy Award. In addition, she was a part of dramas such as All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the only girl from her mom who was a homemaker as well as a senior executive from the United Auto Workers. Delaney lived most of her life with 4 brothers. While she was a small girl, Delaney hoped to become a reporter for the court. But in highschool, when she started modeling for commercials, and later after moving to New York. The role she was given was that of a child's innocence in the soap-opera All My Children. Delaney has appeared in a variety of TV movies, film and dramatics since then. Her career as a professional has been better than her personal life. The accomplished actor has struggled with alcoholism and has had two divorces. In 2005 her custody was confiscated from her.
