Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial arts artist, and competing at the UFC flyweight division. She is the sister of her fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as an Muay Thai kickboxer. She first made an appearance in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Mill in the finals with a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded a second silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, a gold in 2011, and was crowned the 2017 IFMA World Amateur MuayThailand Champion. Antonia's professional debut was in 2003. In 2012, she took home in the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship as well as in the year 2016 she took home the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad-Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She took victory by unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko made her debut in a professional MMA fight back in 2002 against Anara bayanova at KFK's Cup in Kyrgystan. She took home the second round TKO fight as well as her two fights during the WXF: X-Impact World Championships which resulted in a 3-0 record. Shevchenko put on a pause from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing. She then returned to the ring against Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa via unanimous decision and later defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She resigned from the organization and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko knocked out Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her impressive striking ability when she clinched by her knees against her body. After this win, Antonina was awarded a UFC deal. Antonina was offered an UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne modafferi by split decision in her first fight. Antonina recovered from the loss to knock out Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned her second fight of the night in this match. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her next 3 fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski but fell to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee.
